Lying at a distance of 23 km from the city of Shimla, is the evergreen Naldehra Golf Course. It is by far one of the most pristine places to visit in Himachal Pradesh. The hilly land stretches over a sprawling area of 4,285 yards, perched at an altitude of 2,200 metres. Surrounded by a halo of lush trees, the 18-hole course features 16 greens and 18 tees.
Take a tour of the night sky, viewing familiar and unfamiliar constellations of the northern hemisphere, find various deep sky objects such as the Orion Nebula and learn the correct use of binoculars and navigation via star maps. You will also be shown how to set up a telescope correctly before viewing and then photographing some of the magnificent sights in the night sky. No prior knowledge or equipment needed, but feel free to bring both!

In today’s fast paced lives, not just a gas stove, a microwave and oven have become a necessity for living. However, if we look back just two-threecdecades ago, it was a homemade stove or clay chulha (stove) or mud Chulha that was used for cooking almost everything and is still a tradition in many regions of rural India. Although a clay chulha was not technically enabled and required you to flame it by blowing air continuously through a pipe but the food cooked on it was much tastier and healthier.
On 11th July 2017 Children Literature Festival team organized a story telling and Origami session in Children Library Complex. The story which was chosen was from the book Asian Splendour (Folk Tales) from Asia. The title was “Dost and Dushman”. The children along with their parents attended this session. Both parents and children found this interactive storytelling session very interesting and unique.Its a great way to explore the surroundings of Green Chaklu via interactive local folk tales.
